Tribe Totem Poles

Last week our class created totem pole pieces to complete our Native Americans unit.  Each student was to create a piece to add to our class totem poles.  They had to decide what animal they wanted to create, design it and then create a "story" as to why their piece belonged on our totem pole.  Each animal had to have a special story attached to it before it could be added to the pole.

Cookies and Card Games in Exploration Alley

Make your own slideshow at Animoto.

This past Friday we completed two Oreo experiments. The first experiment the students had to see which liquids dissolve Oreos and generic chocolate cookies the fastest. The second experiment the students had to see how long an Oreo and a generic cookie would travel down a ramp. Once all of the experiments were completed the group played the game Target. The four classes blended together to play the game. Now that they have played and are experts they can challenge one another.
