Tree Maps Classifying Native American Tribe Regions

For the past few weeks students have been reading and researching about 4 different Native American Tribe Regions of the United States.  Each student was required to complete a circle map about two of the four tribes.  They worked hard and it shows!!

M&M Observation in Exploration Alley-Yum!!

What better way to review our scientific method skills then with a yummy observation activity! The students used the M&M packages to compose some amazing detailed observations that led to some intriguing questions and a fun-filled discovery.

Great Work Examples!!

This week we have been working on creating several Thinking Maps.  In Reading, we created vocabulary circle maps and a double bubble.  For our Native American unit, the students created tribe circle maps including food, shelter, entertainment and location of the tribe. Check out the pictures below for great examples.  As the year progresses we will be posting other work examples.
